Jesus Camp the Highest Ranking Documentary
A documentary about a Christian summer camp for children is the most talked about documentary this week. Jesus Camp, directed by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, currently lies 7th in the buzz rankings of movies now in theaters, just below Snakes On A Plane and above Miami Vice.
The top ten most discussed films currently also includes another documentary: Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth. The film, which is about climate change and global warming, has almost without disruptions been in the lower end of the top ten ever since its release in late May, indicating that while the movie may not have had an enormous momentary impact on the audiences, it has kept people talking.
No other documentary features in the top 20, as the third currently most talked about documentary feature is The U.S. vs. John Lennon, which opened on limited release last week, and now holds the 30th place in Movie Say’s buzz rankings.

September 27th, 2006 at 6:51 pmor OBL walking in Sunset Blvd. It makes me PUKE!!!!….fanatics of ANY religion should be erase from the face of the earth.
Jesus Camp is an abomination of cinematography and should not be treated like a movie…it is just a pile of crap.
I’m very sorry for those kids, what a waiste!
while i appreciate that the makers of Jesus Camp let interviewees do all the talking, they were obviously selective about what they let into the final movie release; over all, there is some useful truth in this flick… as long as it’s taken with a grain (or maybe a bucket) of salt
